Our Statement of Faith

1. About the Bible: We believe the Bible is the complete verbal, plenary, inspired Word of God.

2. About God: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3. About Jesus: We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, His Virgin Birth, and sinless life as God-man on this earth. We believe that Jesus died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice. We believe in the literal resurrection of Jesus.

4. About the Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; that He is the agent of the New Birth; that He seals, enlightens, instructs, and guides every born-again person. His purpose is to glorify Jesus. Some gifts, such as tongues and healing were temporary gifts until the Scriptures were complete.

5. About Satan: We believe in the personality of Satan, that he is the unholy god of the age, and the ruler of all powers of darkness; is a liar and the father of it, and is destined to the Judgment of an eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire.

6. About Man: We believe in the total depravity of all mankind, and in the necessity of regeneration; that a man must be born again. We believe that salvation is by the grace of God, a free gift of God, and entirely apart from works. Salvation is eternally possessed by all who by faith receive Jesus as their Personal Savior.

7. About Eternity: We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved to eternal life with Jesus Christ in Heaven and of the unsaved into eternal damnation apart from Jesus Christ, in the Lake of Fire. We believe in the personal pre-tribulational, pre-millennial and imminent return of Jesus.

8. About the Church: We believe in the unity of all true believers in the Church which is the Body of Christ. We believe that this Church is manifested through the local church, which is a congregation of believers associated by covenant of faith and fellowship of the Gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ (baptism by immersion and The Lord's Table); governed by His laws; exercising gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word; and that its officers are pastors and deacons whose qualifications, and duties are defined in the Scriptures. We believe the mission of the Church is the faithful witnessing of Christ to all men as we have opportunity. We hold that the local church has the absolute right of self-government.
